Jones Center for Bodywork and Wellbeing

Meet the Resident Coach LMT

My commitment to bodywork and massage therapy began many years ago at the  feet of her diabetic grandmother, learning massage and the importance of monitoring chronic conditions, but most importantly the vital importance of the caregiver/client connection.

Giving good care requires patience and listening for understanding. I am a Bodywork Technician ™ and certified wellness coach. My technique is talent and skill from extensive and ongoing training to connect with the physical body's skin, fascia and muscle layers and as a sensitive, compassionate healing support practician. As a wellness coach, my approach is to be alongside my client as part support, part guide, part educator by listening to, checking for clarity and uncovering connections as you navigate your path to your goals.

Client connection is the foundation of excellent technique.  Additionally, the responsibilities of education in being a health practitioner are vital to excellent practice. I consider both central to my service delivery in bodywork and in wellness coaching.

As an advocate in food systems, mental health, parental support and wellbeing, I am also involved nationally in parent leadership, elevating the value of proximity and community centered approaches. I am committed to continual learning in the areas of bodywork massage therapy and health and wellness coaching. My goal is to be the best resource and support for health and wellness to all who find me and JCBW.  As an advocate of the ancient technology of massage and bodywork therapy, I am also committed to talking about and representing health and wellness coaching and licensed massage therapy bodywork as delivery of these services can, indeed, benefit every body.
